Application
to CRAC 2027
To apply to CRAC 2027 you'll need to submit your application by filling out this form along with a single PDF document, up to a maximum of 10 MB, including the following information:
- Personal and contact details: name, country of residence, discipline(s), email.
- Bio or CV (maximum 2 pages) outlining your trajectory in your field.
- Work sample: materials that give a sense of your work - what you do -: pieces, texts, research, projects, publications, videos, images, links, documentation of actions, documents, or other formats, depending on your field. For audiovisual materials, include active links. There is no single format, and a finished piece is not expected: it can be processes, essays, fragments, or documentation. What matters is not showing a closed result, but where you work and think from.
- Motivation letter (up to 2000 characters) answering these three questions: From what place - geographic, disciplinary, political, affective - do you arrive at CRAC? What urgent question do you bring to the program? What do you hope to take away?
- Your CRAC: What acronym would CRAC be for you? Four words that condense something of your outlook, your practice, or your moment. For example: CRAC: Chronicling Reverberations Across Chaos
- One question: in a single sentence. The question you're finding hardest to answer right now, in your practice or in the world.
- One statement: something you do feel you understand about the present, even if only provisionally.
- (optional, not required) If applying for a scholarship: Scholarship request note (up to 1,500 characters), explaining the reasons in detail.
Scholarships will be granted only to those who truly need them to participate and could not do so otherwise. Scholarship applications are evaluated confidentially and are highly competitive due to limited resources. CRAC cannot guarantee financial support to all applicants.
If necessary, the committee may invite some shortlisted applicants to a brief video call interview.
Announcement of Results
Scholarships will be granted to broaden access for people historically underrepresented in this kind of training program. The diversity of voices, geographies, disciplines, languages, and experiences is central to the spirit of CRAC.
Results of the call will be communicated to applicants in late October 2026. CRAC 2027 participants will be publicly announced through our website and social media in November 2026.
The CRAC diploma certifies a year of critical thinking and collective creation alongside some of the most singular voices in international art, thought, and activism. It certifies having gone through a demanding journey, having produced one's own project, and having been part of a community that took seriously the question of how to act on the present.
